1. Kilometre allowance and extra kilometre charges
Each car booking made through Rapid Car Rentals (RCRs) includes a driving limit of 300 kilometers for a 24-hour period. If the customer exceeds this limit, additional charges will apply depending on the vehicle category. The extra kilometer charges may range between ₹8 to ₹12 per kilometer.
2. Security deposit refund timeline
The security deposit collected before the start of the ride will be refunded within 24 hours after the successful completion of the booking, subject to inspection of the vehicle and clearance of any pending damages, challans, penalties, or additional charges.
3. Overtime charges for delayed return
Customers are expected to return the vehicle within the agreed booking duration. In case of delay, overtime charges ranging between ₹250 to ₹500 per hour will apply depending on the vehicle. These charges are applicable only for the first three hours of delay. After the initial three hours, the overtime charges will be doubled for every additional hour.
4. Damage, accident, and repair liability
In the event of any damage to the vehicle, the customer will be responsible for the repair expenses. Minor damage charges will begin from ₹2,500 depending upon the severity of the damage. In cases involving major accidental damage, the customer shall bear the complete repair cost along with 50% of the respective vehicle’s 24-hour rental amount for every day the vehicle remains under repair and unavailable for service.
5. Third-party liability
The customer shall also be fully liable for any third-party damages, legal claims, injuries, or losses caused during the rental period. Rapid Car Rentals (RCRs) will not be held responsible or liable for any such incidents under any circumstances.
6. Smoking policy
Smoking inside the vehicle is strictly prohibited. If smoking is detected in the vehicle, a penalty charge of ₹1,000 will be imposed for cleaning and restoration purposes.
7. Traffic rules, challans, and penalties
Customers are required to strictly follow all traffic regulations, road safety rules, and speed limits applicable in different areas. Any challans, traffic fines, towing charges, or legal penalties incurred during the rental period shall be borne entirely by the customer.
8. Drop-off exceptions and coordination
If any unforeseen situation arises and the customer is unable to return the vehicle to the agreed drop location, the customer must immediately inform and coordinate with the fleet manager. In such cases, an additional charge of ₹1,000 will be applicable.
9. Drinking and driving prohibition
Drinking and driving is strictly prohibited. In the event of any violation, the customer shall be fully responsible for all legal consequences, penalties, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from such actions. Rapid Car Rentals (RCRs) reserves the right to take necessary action, including immediate termination of the booking without refund.
10. KYC document submission for WhatsApp bookings
For bookings confirmed through WhatsApp, customers who are not already verified in the Rapid Car Rentals system must provide their Aadhaar document and Driving Licence on WhatsApp before the booking start time. Rapid Car Rentals (RCRs) reserves the right to cancel the booking if the required documents are not provided in time or if the submitted documents fail verification.
11. Acceptance of terms
By proceeding with the booking, the customer confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to all the Terms & Conditions of Rapid Car Rentals (RCRs).
